The pen is mightier than the sword.
The new identity for the Ministry of Defence portrays a modern, ministerial organisation that defends Denmark and danish interests by operating in international networks on a department level. The crossing element is the foundation of the identity concept. The crosses has been a part of the hieraldic symbols for centuries (crossing sables, canons, lightnings, commando sticks, etc.). By removing these physical references to weapons only the X - the pure contrairyness is left - symbolizing the field of work for the ministry. The X'es is used in the logo, the pattern, the font "Tordenskjold" and the crown. The project is made for Kontrapunkt in collaboration with the rest of the Kontrapunkt team. |
